In the D.T. there is a story of a 'rude bus driver' refusing a lady on his bus with paint.
Feeling humiliated she had to return to Wilkinsons and return the paint. :-[
I suppose I can maybe understand paint not being allowed on buses - but how can people get them home?
Taxi? - some just can't afford them! and I suppose the taxi drivers could say the same - gives one the impression that shankses pony is their only transport then.
Rudeness - just not on is it!
Sorry scimitar I know you are our very own Stage Coach member (and quite sweet and funny at times ;) )
Unfortunately I am hearing all too often about rude and grumpy drivers - I think it's time Stage Coach looked at how they are organising the routes time wise etc and treating their drivers - as this to me smacks of drivers being fed up and not at all happy with their lot work wise.

Rudeness by bus drivers- I don't think so :-X
From what I've read in the DT, the pregnant lady should have been allowed to carry her paint on the bus, because it was within the "conditions of carriage" guidelines, i.e. in containers/tins of 5 litres or less. Again from the DT, I understand the driver has been interviewed by senior management, and suitably bo**ocked.
You'd be surprised what some folks think we can carry, Ive seen a chap once with several planks of wood (I wasn't the driver), who just laid them in the gangway!
Kids complete with full size bicycles trying trying to board the bus.
A bloke who put a very large box of what was possibly containing a TV on the luggage tray, which as soon as I approached a gradual slow turn fell on the floor.
The list is endless.
Grumpy drivers sometimes end up that way because of rude & ungrateful passengers. Fortunately I'm largely immune to them so I smile & greet them, & if they don't respond in a similar manner I just get on with it - I don't want to go home grumpy.
The Stagecoach conditions of carriage can be viewed here should you wish to view it http://www.stagecoachbus.com/conditionsofcarriage.aspx (http://www.stagecoachbus.com/conditionsofcarriage.aspx)

I don't think i've ever had a problem with a bus driver. The ones on the 2a seem nice enough and the regular ones always have a nice hello to me and the young un (she gets quite excited over buses)

I can't find the link to the DT story about this, 'story', that I'd previously read.
What I did see before were comments about the woman in question's weight !
What the hell has that to do with the news story.
Looks like the DT have removed them now they have the story in the actual gutter printed press.

She's pregnant isn't she Fly.
-
Yes OC.
There were 2 comments on the DT's website. Both pulling the lady down on her weight OC
Wish I'd posted a link to them now. As my previous post, I can't find the link :(
