They are building a new church next to the housing development on the old rugby ground. I wonder if that is a replacement.

The one going up in front of the bus station is a Latter Day Saints' Church. Another load of people in suits knocking on my door when I'm halfway through cooking the tea.

Stopped and had a look yesterday. The notices more or less say will planning permission be granted for a new build should the old building be demolished. Perhaps they want to build a new larger Kingdom Hall.

It's all but been demolished now.
I think the land up for sale, (development land), must be worth more, if they demolish the building that stood there themselves first.

Strangely enough (I'm off work this week until Sunday), the trees on the right hand side of the access road to the bus depot (stonegravels) have mostly been cut down. A lot of this ground is metal fenced off, so doesn't belong to Stagecoach. Makes you wonder who owns it, and why start clearing trees on the access road to the bus depot? Surely not house building with buses trundling past for up to 18 hours a day?
Rumours abound though that stagecoach will relocate to Duckmanton - I stress rumours.
Having said that, our paint shop has been the busiest I've ever known it to be - seems buses are being resprayed constantly at a rate I've not seen before. Is this because our depot is relocating, & losing some of its present facilities, i.e. new depot will be open air for sure - buses parked outside instead of inside.
Anyway we'll no doubt find out eventually
