Title: Calcutta bans bikes
Post by: Pete on September 30, 2013, 08:25:08 PM
They reckon cyclists are slowing down the flow of traffic...

It would suit me. Anyone?

This is also true: "Cyclists banned from key routes in UK." though is about as accurate as "Calcutta bans bikes."

It would suit me.
Some (but not all) are a pain in the butt, with riding in two's won't move over a little so I can overtake.
Have been to Mumbai and I think I may have posted a photo of traffic there - plus they drive as if demented once they get the chance.
Calcutta isn't as congested they say, there must be valid reasons for this rule though as it is affecting people who need their cycles to go to work.
