I presume the rich didn't like these figures, or thought they were losing out.
Yes I'm a sheep.
Without us, the rich wouldn't eat Lamb.
Sheer coincidence, advert about M+S Lamb on the telly  ;D
PS. I don't like Lamb  ;D

Everybody with a mortgage or credit card has debts. If it was a choice of pay all your debts asap or give your kids a decent standard of living I think most people would go for the latter.

I've got 2 credit cards, one's got nothing on it, the others got £30 on. That will be paid off in full.
I do understand where you are coming from though.
I do actually have a debt of £7000 from a repossessed house many many years ago.
That's being paid back slowly via direct debit, very slowly may I add, it's all I can afford  ;)

@JR £400k is a big debt  :o

Spot on Slacker, mortgages are debts but many don't see them that way as for credit cards I don't believe in them myself, but many use them as it's there only means for buying things.

@ Fly £400k is a huge debt and people would need to be pretty sure that they can afford them - none of us know why lies in front of us in life.
