We had a broken plant pot and a garden chair blew over...
What were your losses folks? ;)
-
:( One of our flower pots blew over, I had to pick it up and put it back in place :'(
-
All intacto here I think. Unlike others down the south of the country
-
I think the last count I heard, there had been 4 deaths.
I'm sure I speak on behalf of all forum members, our thoughts go out to the families that have suffered during the storm :(
-
Everything was fine in Newbold, driven down to clacton today for half term and there are broken trees everywhere and the helter skelter on the pier has toppled over :o
-
Hope everyone was Ok :(

I got hit by a falling leaf
-
@ Slacker ohhh nooo I hope the leaf stayed intacto and not damaged
@ Simon sorry for the terrible damaged sustained to your property, that poor little gnome - did he need resus?
Meanwhile others down south are still without power and it's turned colder, I hope they get their power on soon.
-
Luckily everything happened at sunrise so nobody about. A caravan on our site has ended up on its bum, nice and sunny today!
-
>> A caravan on our site has ended up on its bum
Lovely expression :)
BTW - I saw a headline in a newsagents saying another was on the way. :o
-
No damage here - although you couldn't get in our shed for all the stuff crammed in there from the garden!
Spoke to someone I know in Torquay and the storm missed them - thought they would have been one of the first to experience it according to what BBC weather experts were predicting.
-
It was horrendous, the place looked like a tornado went through. Oh hang on, im looking at Streetview of Mansfield.

Sorry, which side is the bum on a caravan?
-
Opposite side to the towing hitch. It was blown off the stands. Even though it is chained down.
-
Ouch. Hope it didn't cause too much problems with the mains services. Water, gas, leccy, sewers etc :(
-
Ahh I see what you meant eabbus, it looks as if it's 'back legs' have given way.
Sky doesn't look to bad now though, I notice you have some sunshine, even though there are some dark clouds.
Has it turned colder, as I think it has here a little. 8)
-
Been lovely today, been able to get the kids on the fair rides etc, not as good tomorrow so planning on swimming.
Looking forward to coming home to be honest for a break ::)
-
Enjoy your swim and your children whilst you can eabbus - even though I know children can be hard work ;)
Hope the fine weather continues for you all 8)
-
@ eabbus, when do you return home - they weather seems to have settled here today. hope it's the same for you
-
We're coming back on Friday, weather was too nice for swimming today so that's now planned for tomorrow. Supposed to be rain for the next two days, still really windy at night to the extent the caravan moves! :-?
Hoping to take the kids to see blackpool illuminations on Saturday, now that is a windy place!
-
Was very wet too when we were there in August. The light's weren't on then :(
-
The children will love the lights eabbus, will you walk or drive through. I always think the lights to the north byond the pier are the best.
All magical for the children though.
Enjoy :)
-
Definitely be a drive through, love the bigger ones on the north end, all tell their own stories.
