AMAZING SPEECH BY WAR VETERAN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akm3nYN8aG8#ws)
-
Well said that man. It illustrates the difference between the largely corrupt governments that make these wars, for their own greed, yet the politicians who've made these decisions in the past wouldn't be prepared to fight or defend their own country as a serviceman themselves.
At least the Royals have always seen active service - had the balls to do so, not without some sort of protection I guess, nevertheless they've done their stint.
I personally at the moment detest all the Government, because no-one appears to have the spine to stand up to the EU (maybe UKIP I grant you), to prevent the further raping of the UK.
How much more immigration from the EU (i.e the expected onslaught from the Rumanians & Bulgarians) can our overstretched NHS,Schools, Welfare system, jobs market take?
It appears we have retrospectively allowed Hitler his wish. We are truly being (further) invaded and up to them legally by an EU dictat that we appear to just give in to. It seems we haven't the gonads to stand up for ourselves anymore. No doubt we are probably one of the biggest contributors financially to the EU pot as well. What do we get back from them - immigrants and their welfare bill that you & I pay for.
On a sombre note, a work colleague of mine (Bus driver as you all know) did his normal duty to Gunstones Bakery in Dronfield. He does this duty a lot - its on his rota.
The majority of the people who catch this bus are muslim/islam, & normally fine. Yet a driver, who is a familiar face to them as he does this service frequently, is lambasted by them for wearing a poppy. I don't know what happened after that, because I have not personally seen him to speak to.
Frankly I'm disgusted, and if I'm asked to do the same duty, I'll refuse.
I'm not racist, but I don't think its right when people are allowed in to this country, set up their own communities and dictate to us whats right & wrong. They are secular, don't integrate, dont want you as a neighbour, only their relatives, YET THEY GET IT (Housing & benefits).
You try being out of work and going on the housing list and see what they offer you. I tried it some years ago. I live in Calow. I was offered (eventually) Killamarsh or Eckington. Fat lot of use. Luckily found a job & still in same house.
I've gone off the point a bit, I know, but I feel strongly about all this, why should you & I ever feel threatened by others who are just skin & blood like us, yet antagonistic to a threatening level, when its questionable how & why they got here in the first place. Surely, us that were born here need looking after first?!

>:( do not start me on a rant scimitar, that was disgusting, - not going to say anymore or will spoil my manners >:(
-
I stand by my comments, I'm not overly political normally, but it seems most of EU citizens are questioning their membership of the Union - not just UK.
I wish it were different, but we've been had big time, and it shows no sign of stopping anytime soon >:(
-
Not having a go at you or your post scimitar but I have heard this before and it makes my blood boil. So disrespectful.
Wear my poppy with pride and would soon be gobbing off at anyone who didn't agree with it.
Now look what you've done - sent me into a rant >:( ;D :-[

>:( do not start me on a rant scimitar, that was disgusting, - not going to say anymore or will spoil my manners >:(
Sorry OC, I misinterpreted the above to mean you didn't approve of my comments.
Glad were on the same side ;)
-
eeee no I didn't mean that at all.
My grandfather and father both did their bit in the wars, what would our country be like if these brave hearts hadn't gone to fight for us.
I used to love to listen to my grandad (we were very close) speak of the war.
He gave me a 'rattle' which I used when I went to local football matches.
However what it originaly was ,was a 'gas rattle' which was used to warn of a pending gas attack in the trenches.
Did you by anychance watch the excavation dig the other night - they found the tunnel used in the Great Escape.
The youth of today have a lot to live up to -
see ---- I've gone off on a rabbit now :))
and if some clever sod says nowt new there then - I'll abdicate
and don't all cheer at once :))

The Greatest Speech: Nigel Farage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIEyUeKxEE0#) guy seems to talk a lot of sense to me - if you can spare the time to watch it.
-
Not being funny, but that vids 42 mins long. Don't expect me to watch it all ;D :D

Nigel Farage is lying, devious, creep.
-
So Cameron, Milliband & Clegg all tell the truth?
I don't think so.
If Farage can keep some of the stupidly enormous amount of money we send to the EU by eventually getting us out of it -he'd have a vote from me.
Surely everyone can see that all of our services that we all rely on are struggling - NHS first & foremost, schools, lack of affordable housing...the list goes on.
Why can't we have a referendum on the EU,its been promised but no sign of delivery just yet. Or anytime soon. If ever whilst the coalition is in "charge", which of course they are not.
Brussels Rules UK!!!!!
Please can anyone tell me how much the UK donates to the EU either daily, yearly & what for. In other words, who does it benefit, & why.
Is it not possible that all EU countries could trade freely without the EU commission being in place?
Surely we have learned from 2 "World Wars" that we will not go through that again purely because an EU in Brussels is in place??
For me, (my opinion) we need to get out of it, & stop the ridiculous amounts of immigration it allows without further thought on how our services will (or most definitely NOT) cope with such further influx from now the Rumanians & Bulgarians.
We have no say in this - its forced on us at a time when cuts are constantly being made to services that we (you & I) rely on,& PAY FOR IN OUR TAXES, so cut back in investment multiplied by let the Balkans come in at will equals poorer services for - yes youve guessed it - YOU & I.
I for one think its pathetic that this country has rolled over on to its back & said "take me!"
Previous Governments going back to simply the "Common Market" - and its gone downhill ever since.
Is it just me that feels this way? Even David Blunkett's had a comment or two.
Mr Angry signing off for today >:(

>> So Cameron, Milliband & Clegg all tell the truth?
Never said that - just because something isn’t white, doesn’t mean its black. But to lose our position in the european markets would be a nightmare for thousands of British businesses - and only make matters worse.
Farage is a liar who who preys on the fears and prejudices of people when the country is in trouble.
He was on Question time a week ago and exposed as such by, of all people, a conservative politician - apparently UKIP put out leaflets in her constituency saying that “29 million people from Romania and Bulgaria were going to flood into our country.”
She then pointed out that the population of the two countries is only 27.5 million combined. So every person from those two countries would have to come here - and even then it would be less than Farage’s propaganda states.
He trades in fear, exploiting folks’ worries and plays to the little bit of racism in most people.
Put him and his party in power to run this country? I wouldn’t trust them with our yard brush!
In truth, most of your complaints are down to the coalition - not that I think Labour could do much better. But to elect a bunch of racist amateurs to run the country, and the complexity that requires, is beyond wrong.

So whats your alternative Pete, in your own honest opinion.
£45 million we secrete to the EU every day. I don't know if that is right, but that is a monstrous amount when we look at shortfalls in our day to day life.
Surely international trade could prosper without the EU.
China is not in the EU,Cameron is there trading deals for what its worth.
Is the Uk set up & braced for the further influx of immigrants? What value will they give us & where are they going to live. Are they going to buy a house? No - we will give them one, because we have to accept & accomodate them.
I'm sorry, but it's all wrong for me, why can't we look after ourselves, our homeless, struggling families that need housing(like people born & raised here), as opposed to persons with totally different cultures & values to ourselves, who within a couple of months will be entitled to claim benefits.
Call me a racist, bigot, fool, whatever you want, but why, in our country, do we not come first?
Don't say its nothing to do with the EU, because it is everything to do with the EU!!
We've given away our once proud soveriengty to overpaid bat fastards in Brussels.
We no longer (the Government) rule our own country.
Simply wrong,bring on the referendum.
Rant over - heading for my cellar bunker :(
-
Honestly? I don’t know.
I have zero respect for the coalition - and not much more for the Labour party.
But I’d take anyone over Farage.
The truth is we joined the EU and have to accept the bad with the good. The situation needs reviewing, I realise that, but I’d never trust the far right and Farage in particular - take a look at Greece, the country that experienced the sharp end of the austerity measures first.
Their far-right party, Golden Dawn, and their Militant People's Revolutionary Forces are currently locked into a battle which has already seen a fatal stabbing and a drive-by shooting this month that claimed the lives of two Golden Dawn supporters.
We don’t need that over here.
