Title: G4S admits overcharging £24m on electronic tagging contract
Post by: Pete on November 19, 2013, 06:35:28 PM
Security company G4S said it had apologised to the Ministry of Justice and issued credit notes for £23.3m that had been incorrectly billed between 2005 and May 2013. A further credit note for £800,000 is to be issued to cover continued overcharging that has happened since June.

Both Serco and G4S withdrew from the tendering process for the next generation of electronic tagging. But both companies have been allowed to bid for £450m-worth of probation contracts but will not be awarded them unless they are given a clean bill of health over the tagging dispute.

So, if you say sorry after committing fraud and pay the money back, you get away with it and can then tender for more security contracts?

Bet we couldn't - bet we would have a bit of time to serve.

Seems G4S have a get out of jail free card.

What's the point in giving them bird? They'd only be transported there by G4S, and escape on the way.
