Title: More on spam emails.
Post by: Fly on December 02, 2013, 10:26:00 AM
Received this today.
(http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t382/Barry_Fly/ScamEmail_zpse1db5107.jpg) (http://s1057.photobucket.com/user/Barry_Fly/media/ScamEmail_zpse1db5107.jpg.html)

The attachment is an executable file inside a zip folder. Lord knows what it might do if I ran it. It's been deleted.
Other observations.
1. I've never had dealings with the sender, cableplus.com.cn a Chinese/Japanese media company website.
2. The email of mine they have used, 'thefly @', has only ever been used by me for 1 website. CF !
Remember Sap accidently releasing everybody's email address from his database in an email ?
This is what happens when private emails get shared. Sold on to Spammers.

Hi

I have a cast iron rule, I never unzip files attached to emails no matter who they are from.

Even if I have won a £1000000 in a lottery I never entered  :)
