30. Cut down your drinking
A few beers or wines after work a few nights a week is a financially debilitating state of affairs.
You no (sic) that. Hic.
Saving: £100s

31. Pack up smoking
Apart from the brands that launch special cheapo starter packs for children, every cigarette now costs about 40p. Those forty pees add up to around £3,000 a year if you smoke 20 a day.
Saving: Maybe £3,000 - wow.

One we have definately fallen foul of in the past was the house insurance. We let it run on too long with the annual cost getting higher.
We switched it about 4/5 years ago.
I intend to look at our energy this month have wanted to do it for awhile but hubby dragging his heals, having changed daughters at the end of last year saving her over £20 a month as a fixed rate until 2015.
I also frequently cook two meals in the oven saving on the fuel that way.
