Think this is a bit of a wind up by the Mail. The story will be true. The paper expects people to get wound up over it.
The guy had worked and attended the school out of term, unpaid, to see things were being sorted. Plus+
So the governors let him take a weeks break, with his kids during term time. Negative-
I think it's the fact he's got kids. Jack would have been made of this story without the kids being involved.
Your thoughts . .

Does seem to be rubbing it in the faces of parents a bit, the 'get out' is that he missed his school hols at Christmas.
I know my brother has one child in senior school (other one now in college) but he's had a struggle with this taking the boys out to get a cheaper holiday.
On the other side of things it's time they stopped the holiday people upping the price in school holidays.

I can see where he's coming from and I think it is OK, but he really should be aware of the mixed messages he's sending.

Id agree, but if you look at it from the other view. If you had a holiday home that you rented out and you knew you could make more money in school holidays, wouldnt you increase your prices? Im sure I would.
People still pay it.

A tad OT Simon but I have to agree with you. It's seen as the norm.
We have to go away/holiday during school holidays. The taxi firm can't find drivers to cover our not being there.
On the other hand, they don't help us with costs of going away at increased prices :-X
We bend over backwards for them, and pay for it !!

Im not saying its right, im just saying it as I see it.
Its never going to change unless all schools have different holidays and terms times.
