Title: Farewell old friend. RIP
Post by: Fly on January 22, 2012, 09:46:08 AM
She made a few grunts and strange noises, then the RCD in the fuse box tripped  :o

Looks like the washer has gone to the big laundry in the sky  :(

Oh well, got a new one on reserve at Argos, fetching it later.
Looks like we'll be going for the Argos Store Card, 6 months interest free credit  ;D

Circuit boards are now so expensive that it's cheaper to scrap an item than repair it. We had similar with the fridge freezer a year ago.

id take the motor out of your old one if you could.  Might get some money back for the copper coil.

It annoys me that nothing seems to last very long these days. Nothing electrical seems to last more than 4 or 5 years, and you end up having to buy new as the repairs cost so much, so wasteful,

I think they are trying to make them to technical, ours has been a pain right from the start --- it seems it won't spin if the washing isn't level inside ----- so the cycle just keeps stopping and starting, never getting any further with it!!
BRING BACK THE DOLLEY TUB!!!  ;D
