They've got to get the money for the interest payments on the new Queens Park Leisure centre build from some where !!
Let's bang up the prices on taxis, drivers, owners etc, not the fare people pay !
Cheers Andy, you didn't tell me about this little gem.
How do the council warrant an increase of £5 this year, per driver, per licence.
Also he increase in cost for every taxi firm for every taxi on their fleet.

Some council services are running at a loss, licenses being one of them, so have had rises slightly above inflation to get a bit closer to the break-even point. £5 must be about the average cost of one fare?

Sat in town from 9.30am till 1.00pm. Did 3 jobs.
£3.80 Chester St.
£3.00 Cobden Rd.
£4.00 Hady Hill.
Whooppee f'in do :))
Guess the increase in licensing fees are enough to cover all the other services at loss too ::)

Missed you by about 30 mins then Fly, we walked that way on route for our lunch.

Always another time Pam. ;)
I spend enough time sat there for my, to be, £82 next year license. Oops sorry £77.
Forgot the town hall charge you an extra £5 on top to check that your driving license details are actually up to date.
Presume they do this online, must take all of 3 minutes.
That's 20 checks, or £100 of revenue in an hour. Minus the wage for the person sat there doing it ;)
