Title: Cold caller

Landline rang this lunchtime, and conversation went:

caller- is this  Mr ****?

Me- yes

Caller- Mr Keith ****, of (gives me my address details)?

Me- yes

Caller- I'd like to talk to you about your pension performance

Me- which pension

Caller- your private pension

Me- who is my private pension provider?

Caller- I'm not allowed to tell you that due to data protection  :-?

Me- OK, until you can tell me who my pension provider is I'm not prepared to discuss it with you

Phone line goes dead!!!!

Wonder how many people fall for this and divulge personal details?

I ask similar with those who ring up and tell me my computer isn't performing very well
