Good news for Derby folk. Been hearing about it lots.
I travel to Derby twice a day now and have BBC Radio Derby tuned in.
What I can't understand is why they didn't get the other contract in 2011.
Siemens, a German company did. ??
Talk about looking after your own !

Bombardier is a Canadian company. They laid off 400 workers in Derby after losing the Thameslink contract. They're now going to take on up to 340, net loss at least 60 jobs.

Have Siemens got a plant in the UK employing UK people Dave ?
Plus it's 340 back in work.
