They probably filmed that in the worst place possible, just after the river comes out of a deep man made channel. If they had filmed the other side of the road I don't think it would have looked as bad.

I think there's along way to go before that gets as bad as the Thames.

The River Don in Sheffield is slowly creeping up, quite a torrent running over the weir near Attercliffe.

The flood plain stops a few feet short of our front door :)
-
The river that runs via chester st is getting rather high apparently.
Daughter likes to go check and report on it :D
Just trying to imagine back in 2007 when we got the floods...surely we had just a tad more rain than we had now?

aye that Vid brings back memories, Sadly I never actually saw the brampton ones because stupidly I was heading to work which took around an hour and a half to get there (Staveley at the time) OH was coming home from town and was wading through it, we live just off Chester ST!, I came home early just after getting from work remember setting off at like 5pm, getting back home at 11pm.
Regardless of all the rain we are getting now it hasnt got as bad as that just yet thank goodness. Thanks for the vid again tho
