When he's not busy spending money on badger culls, or opposing bans of bee-harming pesticides, he's been cutting spending where we really could be using it right now - flood defences.
Under his watch, funding for climate change has been slashed, and he has ignored all scientific advice linking climate change to flooding.
With all signs pointing to an increase in flooding in the future, we just can't afford to keep a climate change denier in such a position of responsibility.
Tell Cameron to sack Owen Paterson.

It's not so much the reporting in this article link (bottom) but some of the comments after it.
We are seeing an increase in the frequency of extreme weather events. There have always been extreme weather events, but it is the frequency that matters.
The climate has changed in cycles but the change which is taking place now is happening over decades. This is extremely rapid change.
I've never been a big believer in Global Warming, but the above still means something wants doing to cope with the climate change. Not updating flood defences was a bad idea IMHO

>> I've never been a big believer in Global Warming
97% of climate scientists agree the world is warming and that carbon emissions are to blame.

I didn't say I don't believe. Just sat on the fence.
Plus I'm not the one in charge of flood defences. I'd have got the job done.
Not spending and let people get flooded, is there any wonder people are up in arms !!

What I heard today is that they cannot blame Global Warming just based on what's happening in the UK.
I believe there is a team of scientists studying the whole of our planet and the changes in weather which is happening.

And 100% of the climate scientists want to keep themselves in a job by producing evidence supporting their theories. At first it was called global warming but when it was pointed out that our summers were actually getting worse it was subtly changed to climate change.
