They were 1-2 up after the first leg at Fleetwood.
They lost 1-0 last night.
So how did they win 3-2 on aggregate.
I make that 2-2
Thought the away goal rule didn't count.
If it did, shouldn't they have 4on 4-3 ??
Not been up long, brain not working LOL ;)

They were 3-1 up from the 1st leg.

Cheers JR, was led to believe they won 2-1 at Fleetwood ;)

From a Sheff Wed fan id just like to say well done to Chesterfield. Nice to see a local team doing well.
Ill be rooting for them at Wembley.

The away goals rule (though not applicable to this competition) only kicks in in the event of an equal 2 leg score.
In other words if you draw 3-3 away and lose 1-0 at home you lose 4-3 not win 6-5
But don't ask me to explain the Duckworth-Lewis Method

Good luck tomorrow. :)

Not good so far

Sound like they were unlucky,a few moans about the referee, etc.
Concentrate on getting promotion to League One now.
Come on you Blues !!

Oh well 3-1 defeat. Onwards and upwards hopefully :)

I'm afraid as a Cestrefeldian of some 50+ years standing I have a confession to make.
2 football matches yesterday
And if the footballing Gods had offered to swap the two results?
Sorry guys I wouldn't have taken it !!!

I'm not down hearted at all, in fact, I take great solace in our performance against
a team who got relegated from the championship, and are challenging to get promoted back.
As for Liverpool, yes I've always had a soft spot for them, and hope they are champions.
