Title: Chesterfield Forum broken
Post by: Slacker on March 11, 2014, 06:32:37 AM
Been down for several days now.

Wonder if locals know they can come here for a mass debate.

It's not broken - just some techie problems over the last couple of days.

Interesting that it's down for maintenance according to my PC but perfectly viewable via tapatalk on my phone? Presumably one of my clued up techies can explain this?

I think the problem is with the forum software/hosting or something - I don't think it's a problem with your kit Jon.

Just seen a post (via Tapatalk) and it looks like Chris has got probs. He moved it from Linux to a Windoze server - never heard of sites moving to Windoze from Linux - usually the other way round.

I'm not being funny here. Looks like Sap1 is having some major problems though.

Yep, another tory fu**** the job up.
I know you don't like me posting over there JR,
But come on, it makes for a bloody good read at times.
Some of them are so narrow minded, they just don't 'get' my sense of humour.

It's not that I don't like it, just that it makes their forum look the more active.

TBH JR, personally, I don't care if the other forum does look more active than ours. Statistics say it isn't.
The downside for the other forum is the amount of negative posts.
Black and white as Pete mentioned tonight in another thread.
You've mentioned Tony Benn. RIP  :( No one's ripped you apart for your comments. We have debated it without losing the plot.
Forum's aren't all about debate are they. They are about people having a natter, posting photo's, and talking in threads about various subjects.
I hope that is what current, and new members, find on here. A friendly place. Not a 'political debate' war ground.

Don't particularly like the look of it. Too blue.
Just tried Tapatalk, it said it was unavailable on the forum, then it crashed out again. Oops  :-X

Not saying this because it's another forum. But I hate the new layout.
I'm glad in a way, there's less chance of me posting over there.
Time to move on and look after our forum and members  ;)

Need my holiday OC. This new Derby contract I'm doing was doing my head in. Early start. Later finish.
I'm finding things a bit easier now. I get up at 6.00am and there's daylight.
