My vehicle has just gone to the great scrapyard in the sky.
M reg Microwave, 118,000 on the clock, doesn't owe me anything.
First vehicle was a Lambretta 125.
First car was a Morris Minor (older than me), cost me £10.

Taken on my 50th birthday, found a moped in a museum of the same model I had at 16 (Honda Graduate) first time I'd seen one for years (although there was one on ebay recently.) Sadly the motorbike age limit went up from 16 to 17 before I was old enough and the new sporty mopeds were beyond my wallet.

18 year old A35 I had at 18. Was grey before I hand painted it. B/w photo doesn't do justice to the orange wheels & bumpers. Later has large Magic Roundabout stickers added. Students!

For Lambretta fans, go along to Matlock Bath in August for the annual Beat The Bikers rally. Here's my video from last year.

Another car I had - around 1970 I think. It was my dads, but I borrowed it so often, he made me buy it off him... LOL

Was your Prefect the 3 speed side valve 100E variant, or the later 107E?

Dad had the 3 speed, I had the 107E which blew up on the M1 coming back from University.  Then got a 105E with the slopng back window.

It was the one that had the Anglia engine, so I suppose it was the 107E - can't really remember it much.

Im not as old as most of you lot so the cars ive had were fairly recent

1st: Ford Fiesta 1 litre - sound engine, shame about the bodywork
2nd: Ford Fiesta 1.2 litre - again, sound engine, shame about the bodywork
3rd: Ford Orion 1.4 litre
4th: Vauxhall Nova 1.2 litre
5th: Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 [brand new] - in black (an extra £199 for that colour)
6th: Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI [brand new] - in Ultra Blue (an extra £499 for that colour)
7th: Vauxhall Astra 1.6

My favourite was the Blue Corsa.  The colour was brilliant and for a 1.3 CDTI is didnt half shift.  Was just a bit small.  My claim to fame was however that I was one of the very first people in the country to get the new design in 2003.

The Astra is a close second though (even though I tend to need a bank loan every few months) mainly because its very comfortable and quiet.

Ill try and find some pictures and post them - I would post links to similar cars but I might get told off by admin  ;) ;)

My first car.  It was designed specifically for ladies with ideas taken from a survey in Cosmopolitan magazine so it had special features like a vanity mirror on the driver's side .... very handy for putting my lippy on whilst driving to work ;)

*sits back and awaits male abuse*  :D
