Title: Defending whats yours
Post by: simondjuk on April 10, 2014, 07:37:29 PM
If anyone saw The One Show tonight, there was a piece about how far you can go to defend whats yours.

There was an owner of a garage who caught 2 people stealing diesel.  The burglars hit the man with some wood but fortunately he got hold of the wood himself and inflicted quite a bit of injury.  One burglar got 2 broken legs and a broken arm.  The police arrived and all three people were arrested.

It went to court and he was released without charge so he could go back to his life.  The burglars got a £75 fine and a record.

Personally I think the bloke who was defending whats his should get an award for dealing with these scum.

You may remember a while back I mentioned someone who caught someone in his house, kicked 7 bells out, threw him on the lawn unconscious.  Police arrived and asked what happened and he told him 'he must have tripped on the way out'  No further action taken.

So if you caught someone in your home, or trying to steal something of yours, what do you think you would do?  I say 'think you would' as heat of the moment, anything could happen.

If you're in my house, and you weren't invited in, I shall hit you hard. With whatever I can, before you hit me or my family.
You have no right to be here. Be thankful I'm not a legal gun owner. Owning a 3ft piece of 2x2 doesn't need a licence.
I know where it is, do you  MD

Talk is cheap isn't it Simon, but people shouldn't be persecuted for self defence of their own property.

Probably lock myself in the bedroom or try and get outside - leave them to it.
Mind you I can't say I would have reacted like that in my younger years.
Personally I woud condemn anyone for defending their home whatever they did to intruders.
Truth is the intruders shouldn't be there and have only some kind of evil intent.

Tackle me & mine - they'd better get ready. I'll throw the Wife at them :P
Trust me they won't come back :))
Seriously though, I'd be prepared to kill any intruder & face the consequences.
