Posting in case anyone knows.

I have a Nikon F55 35mm SLR Camera with a 28-100mm Lens which I no longer use and was planning on eventually buying a Digital SLR.

If I sold the body and kept the lens, would the lens fit on another Nikon DSLR body?

Im assuming it would if its the same fitting. 

Anyone know?

The quick answer is ... Maybe!!!  It will depend on the age of the lens and what functionality it has got. I've got an Olympus and when I use my old slr lenses it won't allow me to use automatic focusing. Best bet is go on nikons website.
