Title: Is Blair right, should we intervene in Iraq ?

Violent insurgency in Iraq is the "predictable" result of the West's failure to intervene in Syria, not of the 2003 invasion to topple Saddam Hussein, Tony Blair declared in a renewed call for military action.

Is this a dig at the Tories by a Labourite Blair saying they should have done something.
Am I missing Blair's point, does he have one ?

Mr Blair - now a Middle East peace envoy
Sounds like he is !!

How many more of our men do we have to lose, all in vain.
We are not wanted there, we are seen as interfering.
Our troops are being cut back.
We need to build up our own defenses as sometime in the future we are going to need them.

No way should we intervene - we lost 179 British soldiers last time. The Iraqi's need to sort themselves out. They have a many more foot soldiers than we have. Tony Blair is a plonker who sent soldiers under prepared, & minus kit into a war they could not win.
Iraq is a democracy, with an army larger than ours - let them sort it out themselves

I can only think that Blair's overall involvement is for a cash incentive.
His son is also making a mint promoting Mexican footballers apparently.
