Linzy Greaves from Bolsover claimed money as a single parent when her children were in fact in the care of the local authority.
Lindzy seemed to contradict herself when asked if she was ashamed first she said no then retracted it and said yes.
Basically she's got away with it and is just tagged between 8.00pm and 7.00am for 12 weeks.
No deterrent to others then however I suppose prison would cost more on top of what she's stolen.
I see there is a comment from Slacker ( well I think it was you Slacker ) who asked 'how come an MP can over claim by more than twice that amount and write it off as a 'mistake'
Why can't they put these people out to do voluntary work at least to give something back to the community, if just 12 weeks of tagging is all they get they are laughing at the rest of us. >:(

Not the first person BDC has succesfully taken to court and prosecuted.
Do the DT quietly ignore similiar cases in the Chesterfield region. Them being Champions and such !

I thought the DT were being a bit excessive about re-covering something already featured but the woman keeps posting stuff herself (if you can understand it)

Remove all access to social networks for people like this, then they're denied the publicity they so desperately crave.

Some people as Dave rightly comments crave attention.
Some also think they are very clever in hoodwinking the DWP and local councils, it's sort of a 'street cred' thing in some groups of people.
Even wearing a 'Tag' is a street cred achievement - can you believe it - actually being 'proud' that you have to wear one.
Some people unfortunately have no shame or living standard values
