ITV, part 1 of 4, just watched it. :o
Not for me and Our_Lass. The more I see of these things, the more I feel less inclined to go on one.
Well, I wasn't inclined in the first place, this series just backs up my fears/aprehensions LOL
-
I've recorded it - it's one of the Princess Ships.
I'm hoping it's better than the last series - that was more about the flipping Vicar!!
Off topic but did you read about the cruise ship which was hit by falling shrapnel somewhere near Israel/Egypt.
Seems a rocket was intercepted in the air hence the debris.
I think they may be stopping cruise ships going in that area.

Is your Enter/Return key stuck :))

I dunno Fly. I logged out and back in to see if that would sort it. :))

Would you fly Easyjet having watched Airline?
It's easy for a tv programme to make something look poor

I took in your comments the last time I mentioned cruises JR.
The one about % and people getting sick, against the state of hotels me and Our_Lass stay in.
We just don't fancy cruises.
I think it's the idea of being stuck out at sea. you can't just call it a day and make your way home if things turn bad.
-
Well you can get off at a port and fly back. Never more than 2/3 days if you are in the med. but I doubt you could get to that point!!

I'm with you all the way on that Barry, I'm terrified of water!
-
People either love or hate cruising and if you don't like water it's not a good idea to go on a cruise.
Cruise ships are huge once inside and TBH it's hard to visualise this just from the outside.
I enjoy the pollen free and peaceful environment, it's hard to imaging very ittle sound when out at sea, just the gentle swishing of the water as the ships glides through the sea.
Have yet to watch the TV series - it didn't have flipping vicars in it did it!!
-
My oh my, don't know what it covers but seems like even the seasoned cruisers are saying if they had watched that before their first cruise they would never have tried cruising.
-
Finally got to watch it and wasn't that impressed, not sure where they found that awful woman from they kept interviewing.
I suppose it also portrayed life behind the scenes in hotels in parts as in the laundry back log ( big yawwwnn)
We have cruised in the early days and been up at stupid o'clock to go on a tour and returned just in time for evening dinner.
Trust me port days are not boring and I for one welcome the sea days.
On the other hand we no longer do full day tours too hectic for us ;) unless we really want to visit a place.
The last really early start was whilst in Egypt and Israel as we wanted to see the sights.
No one 'has' to do tours and if all you want to do is laze by the pool for 7/14 days it's probably cheaper to do a land stay.
Will probably record this weeks to see how it unfolds

Watching part 2 now ;)
-
And managed to stay awake ::) :-X

Mmmm I don't think it's doing too much to promote cruising, but maybe it's not intending too.
Deputy Dan the would be cruise director - bit of a plank!
Best thing about the programme tonight was the sunset!
The balcony looked a bit small as well.
Loved that remark by a pax = 'all you can see it water' no sand then ::) :))
-
Lot of water if you ask me :))
-
I noticed the camera scanned the Seal Colony :))
-
Saw some of them in the Humber Estuary recently.
Damn sight cheaper break too LOL

It said that he'd been part of an entertainment team at a holiday camp!! You could tell too!

That could have been an announcement taken from the Costa Concordia! >;
Still wouldn't get me on a cruise :(

I cringed at that Alsatian, he really was poor, be enough to put anyone off.
The newbie made us laugh though as in our early cruising days we got lost so many times, mainly because there were decks on the ship where you couldn't walk from front to back ( never can remember the proper names JRRRRRRRRRRR ??????
These days generally that isn't a problem.
I think if they concentrated more on what cruising is really like for the passengers it may encourage some people to try one, the cabins where they film the staff are nothing like the pax cabins - or I wouldn't be cruising that's for sure
-
I felt sorry for the young female newbie too, she wanted to phone mum etc.
At least the other/older crew member saw her dilema and managed to sort her dilema out ;)
Hope she goes on to make a career out of it :-)

Long hours under paid maybe not
-
I'm under paid. Really really under paid :-X

Well just remind me to avoid the Princess ship where the Ex Butlins bloke is going - finally got to watch last weeks episode last night
