Title: Assisted Suicide
Post by: Old Cruser on July 17, 2014, 09:12:38 PM
Anyone agree with this?
I know there has been something on TV tonight but haven't watched it.
My thoughts - if someone is terminally ill and doesn't want to go to the bitter end, then why shouldn't they make the choice?
People who are fit and well may think it's wrong, but if roles were reversed would they think differently?

I agree with what you have said

However if you are in a 'vegetable' state but still alive, you cant assume they want to die so thats where it might be a bit more complicated.

But if you are of sound mind and you decide thats what you want, then it should be granted.

We put animals to sleep that are in pain, why not humans - we're still animals.

I'm totally in favour of assisted dying and I hope someone will help me should my quality of life require it.

BTW - it's assisted dying.

I agree 100%, we don't let animals suffer - why should we?

I quoted from the programme Dave which was assisted suicide as I think that must have been the way it was being looked at.

Suppose to die is one thing but to die by means of other ways rather than just slipping away is another would you say?
