Put in fun seeing as it's a quiz

colleague of mine is running a 'pub' quiz on Facebook
Loads of cryptic questions.
I'm doing ok but I'm REALLY stuck on these two
Any of you brainboxes out there got any ideas?

1. Replace the ? with the correct number. One point for getting the correct number, one point for explaining WHY it is the correct number. Good luck!

2.Name the person from these three connected clues: A corpulent cyclist, a snip live on radio, and a child's phone call to a festive figure

Trust me JR, I've had about an hour on Google and have found Jack  :(

All I can tell you so far is the pertinent word for corpulent is fat and it's a male we are looking for.

I don't know many fat blokes and get threataned by the the few I do !
Saying that, I've put a stone and a half on in the last 2 years. Since I stopped smoking.  :-X
