Title: Kathmandu Restaurant, Clay Cross
Post by: Pete on January 29, 2012, 07:44:00 PM
Someone's just told me that this restaurant is run by an ex-gurkha.

Anyone ever eaten there? Any good?

Kenty?

Have talked to the brother-law,He's been a couple of times,
and he would recommend it to anyone.
Nepalese Food, seems it's similar to Indian food.
So there you go Pete.

Had a great night at Kathmandu - 6 of us went, everyone happy with the food, good sized portions. Excellent service, always attentive, never intrusive. Spent £120 including drinks.

Lovely! :)

£20 a head including drinks isn't out of the way if the food is good.

We thought so too. Mains were £10/£12.95

I had Lamb Momo for starters - lovely little things. In fact I think I could have had two or three starters rather than a main, I'm not a big eater.

I had Shikar Thal ( Mixed Platter) (Mild/ Medium/ Hot)  £12.95
Pieces of Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Sheek Kebab and King Prawn
cooked in a mild creamy sauce.
Served with Garlic/Plain Nan, Salad and Vegetable Curry Sauce

Only managed 2/3rds of it... :o
