Title: Labour soar past Tories to take seven-point lead

Labour soar past Tories to take seven-point lead in latest ICM poll

Ed Miliband has overturned a narrow Tory advantage to take a commanding seven point lead after a bruising week for David Cameron in the wake of the resignation of Baroness Warsi over the Gaza crisis, according to a new Guardian / ICM poll.

Is there life in the Labour party again - or just a result of Tory problems?

I suspect it's ABC. Anyone but Cameron. There's also nowhere else for the disaffected in the centre to go given that the lib Dems have been part of the same government. Ukip may take right wing voters but I doubt they take many centre left ones

The only accurate poll will be the general election, some will delay decision until the last minute and vote for who the Sun tells them to

Has Boris actually said he wants to be PM, or just get back into being a politician ?

Might sound silly to some, but as a politician, I'd put Boris on par with Skinner.
He gets his point over, albeit, I might not like his ideas, but people see and listen to him.
He's a character  :)

There's an argument to say that as mayor of London Boris has the 2nd highest politically ranked job in the country. Therefore the assumption has to be that he's not re entering parliament with a view to being a back bencher. If Cameron does lose and the Tories decide a change is needed (and it's unlikely they won't) then Boris has to be favourite.

He's not as stupid as he makes out, acting the clown is just to endear him to the public

I was wondering if that was the case Slacker, don't know anything about him really but think for some it may have the opposite affect if that is what he does.
I would say Cameron is a strong leader for the Tory Party but he's a bully boy IMO and although he gets away with a lot in the UK Europe don't necessarily tolerate and let him have his own way.

Ed - is he strong enough to be PM?
