Have been into Tesco's in Clay Cross today.
They have hand held 'scanners' to take around as you shop, putting your shopping straight into bags in your trolley.
Pay at the check outs.
My thoughts for what they are worth - less jobs - more shop lifting.
What do others think?

Just another reason why not to shop at Tescos.

Hopefully we'll be shopping at Morrisons in the not too distant future instead 8)

Supporting Jon?
We use Sainsbury and Morrisons.

Why ?
Cos the're going to build one in Boza LOL
So instead of nipping down Bolsover for the local shops, then go to Tesco in Clowne,
we can stay in Boza and cut our cars CO2 emissions by staying in Boza (y)
Think green :))

They've has the scanners at Chesterfield & Alfreton for a long time. Far better than having to pack your stuff at the till. Safeway did a similar thing years ago before Morrison's took them over. Big difference is at the random check Tesco just take out a few items not the full trolly

Also handy for checking the price of an item where the price has been covered up with a bogus "Sorry - out of stock" label.
