Tontine Road area? Car park opposite the "bus station?"

I don't know if right or wrong, so shoot me down if wrong, but I heard that CBC paid for it. It's by the Coach Station/Taxi rank on Beetwell St.
Good though isn't it? :)

I've been in a few times and I like it. Nice big sofas, an open fire, quirky decorations and not expensive.

Isn't it the shop the mural is actually painted on the side of. Don't think it will be on Google Street View.
Nips to have a look .  .  .  .

Ahhh is that what it stands for scimitar - cheers

I'm sure there must be more ends of buildings where pictures such as this could be painted - as long as it's to do with Chesterfield of course.

To keep the history of Chesterfield alive.
I like some of the pictures you posted Pete, would just prefer to keep to the old Chesterfield pictures though.

This mural I see most days as its near my bus stop. Really like it its shows the old Hare and Hounds pub the Spire and best of all the horse drawn tram which is based on a photo taken on Chatsworth Road c1907 and Victorian children who also appeared in the original photo. Its a top job so much better than the eyesore that now graces a certain roundabout........ ::)
