Title: The Sun Inn in Chesterfield
Post by: Old Cruser on October 10, 2014, 07:38:45 PM
We often park in the car park at the back of the pub ( it's opposite the old  Portland ) and take advantage of the discount off the parking ticket to have lunch.
We went today to do just that and it was closed.
Anyone know if it's temporary or permanent ?

The Sun pub was not open last Thursday got a bad feeling its gone the way of the Goldminers. The last time I was there was two people were in and beer was over £3.00 a pint.

It's never been very busy when we have gone in, although sometimes it's been 2pm-ish.
Daughter loved their filled Yorkshire puds.

Shame if it's gone.

I parked at the back today and it's still closed.

As a by the way does anyone know if they can actually legally charge for parking on there.
The machine is the type where we have to put in the cars full registration number.
There is even a camera and presuming it works it clocks you in and out
