Short answer we ended paying in the end despite Cameron's promise he wasn't going to pay up. >:(

It's not due till early December. I doubt the banks have paid it out and lost the interest just yet !!

We got it half price so Osborne jumping for joy despite the fact Cameron said he wasn't going to pay a penny in short the EU got its demand for more money.

Apparently we were due some rebate, so this has been brought forward, so it looks like we are paying less.

I have read that in our daily paper as well, the EU says the Gov always knew they were to get a rebate!
