We often hear in the media about how fat people are now. The NHS promotes low fat diet as the way forward but obesity rates continue to rise . Low carb diets promote a reduced carbs like bread and limit fruit but unlimited fat mostly fish and lean meats but the diet is hard to stick to in the long term. Has anyone tired both diets did it get the results you wanted and do you think Suger is fueling obesity?

My weight started to pile on after the menopause, previous to that I had been 9 stones for years.
Low Fat - Low Carb - just cut down on both I suppose and exercise more, and that's what holds me back as my asthma restricts this.
During the winter I can barely go out when the temperature drops as cold air/wind is a trigger factor for me.
I eat very little sugar wise and my favourite tipple wine has lots of suger in but I probably only share a bottle a month with hubby.
I have to admit we do see an awful lot of youngsters about who are rather large. At their age I was eight and half stones, and what makes these young women think they look good in a crop top and sport a fat belly hanging down. :-?
