I reckon that's a bit childish TBH denying someone to pay tribute to those who perished, leave politics out of it.

Did you check the link OC, it's the Cenotaph in london, the one the Queen will attend.
Surely they have to limit the number of people. The ceremony would run on for hours.
Rules are rules for a reason. There's plenty of other Cenotaph's in the country he can pay his respects too.
Perhaps he has a family member named on a Cenotaph somewhere.

You are right it would go on for a long time in London - he could go after it's done or in his own neck of the woods I suppose.  ;)

I think it should be remembered this event is for all the fallen in all wars everyone has the right to attend this event. Keep politics out of it along with any cheap point scoring.
