In Germany they are celebrating the fall of the Berlin War in 1989 the Cold War ended two years later. Fast forward into 2014 a new Russian leader is wanting to rebuild the Soviet Union and turn Russia into a superpower that it once was Putin's eyes are on the Ukraine and the former Eastern bloc. Relations with the West are turning cold and Russia has withdrawn behide its borders. Perhaps a new Cold War is on its way.

Putin is playing dirty. He's bolstering the armed Forces massively, army/navy/ air force. Their currency rate against the Dollar/Euro/Pound following economic sanctions over the atrocities in Ukraine are biting hard. Russian pride however seems to back Putins ideaology. He's showing the West that he means business one way or the other. Even Gorbachov in his 80's has commented on it.
They are a wounded slumbering Giant - like a boxer on the ropes with one good punch left.
Let's hope they don't use it. :(
