Just been trolling through the Energy Savings Sites.
What a headache - KWH 's, Annuual projection Costs :-?
All gobble-de-gook to me, it really isn't for old women :(
Anyway I did the change over pretty easy enough, saved over £450 a year ( I see a mini cruise looming ;) ) but do others get boz-eyed with it all - or just me !!!
-
Forgot to say I changed from B.G to Ozo - who apart from my brother using them I have never heard of
-
I've never heard of them either. We're with Eon for both gas and lecky.
-
Thanks for this post Pam. I'll be checking them out. The name seems to come up as OVO though :)
-
Energy Saving? Thank goodness you know who doesn't post here anymore - you would half a dozen A4 sheets worth of replies... LOL
I think the place to go is Money Saving Expert - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/)

I'm impressed with Ovo, monthly payments went down considerably and well in credit (which they actually pay interest on)

Yes I read about the interest Slacker - just thought I must be reading that bit wrong!!
-
Might check them out next year. Our current contract with Eon doesn't finish till about July.

We have had Scottish Power phoning.
They phoned before I went into hospital a couple of times and hubby took the calls.
I said I would speak with them on a given date but then was in hospital so that didn't happen.
They've called again today, pushing their 'low standing charge rate'
Explaining what I had done yesterday I asked for them to email me their figures and I would look at them during the 14 day cooling period.
Only they couldn't do that from their call centre, so I sent her packing and said I would look at them when the next change came. Not prepared to talk figures over the phone, I like to read and digest.
I believe they are owned by someone from Spain?
Anyone know who owns OVO?
-
If you google OVO and look under Wilkipedia it gives you all the background to the company.
-
I did. Looks like the someone missed the market. Me included, but then again. I'm just a thick ex miner ::)

Nice find Fly, I can feel a change coming on.
-
Interesting read Fly.
I will mention though that for anyone eligible for the warm homes discount that OVO don't as yet take part in the scheme.
-
@Pete: Me too next year probably. Unless someone has a better deal ::)
@ OC: We don't qualiffy :-X LOL
-
Didn't think you would Fly neither do we.
I 'think' you maybe have to be getting pension credits or disabled.
As it's £145.00 it would need to be taken into consideration of the savings to switch if not available.
