Muhammad - Smith / Jones doesn't quite go to me.

Various spellings of Mohammed all counted as one name, popular because it's Muslim tradition to include it as one of their names.
I wonder if Beth, Betty, Libby, Liz, Lisa etc would all be counted as one because historically they are all short for Elizabeth
