I have looked on the BBC weather site for chessy and yes heavy snow is forcast from 6pm saturday night turning to sleet in the early hours on Sunday morning.
Take care out there folks if we do get it!

Luckily for me, I don't work weekends or nights.
So just the shopping tomorrow to do.
As OC says, just take it steady if your out and about :)

Here we go again. What a crock of shit. Its Winter. Weather like this is expected. Get over it and get on with it.
And Britain as per usual would complain if we didnt have any cold weather.
-
It's certainly very cold out there today, as you say it's winter we expect to have some cold weather/snow. The media like to sensationalise things!
-
It turned very cold about 12.30pm this afternoon.
Twas just a bit of a breeze. Brrrrrrr
-
Just seen the forecast for tonight! -15 expected

One thing is for sure. The windscreen will be frozen in the morning :(
-
Sod the windscreens, they can be cleared. I'm more worried about my icle bunny wabbit. :(
-
Bring the hutch into the house you daft sod.
Ickly bunny will be Iceland baby frozen meat in the morning !!
If Simon's -15 is right, I'd feel guilty leaving the gnomes out !!
-
The hutch is a lot bigger than the door...
-
Pet carrier box and package tape it up.
Wabbit will wove wou :-*
-
which reminds me
A little 5 year old girl goes into a pet shop. She asks the man at the counter "can i have a wabbit please?". His heart warmed, he drops down to her height and asks"what kind of wabbit would you like? A brown wabbit like the one over there or a white wabbit like the one in the window?".
The little girl replies " i don't think my pet snake really gives a f*** what colour the wabbit is."
-
If you havent seen the forecast, its not looking particularly great.
Over Thursday night and Friday morning, they are forcasting up to 20cm (about 8in) of snowfall over Yorkshire, Lincs and East Mids. We seem to be on the edge but i know that snow is very difficult to get right.
They got it right last week when it snowed on Saturday and that was predicted almost a week in advance, so if it continues, get ready for some significant white stuff.

We used to put ours in the shed during the winter, went in one tea time with a torch to feed them and had three sets of eyes looking at me :o :o
Plenty of bedding and carpets over is maybe all you can do then to help keep warm icle bunny.
few weeks ago my daughter decided to have a icle house bunny --- not a good idea! But that's another story!! ;D

That's a very sensible suggestion, and one I think you should take up. I would - if I had an ickle wabbit :D

He lives! Flapjack survives his night of icyness!
Actually his hutch is a bit of a thermal Fort Knox - my missus has been insulating it for weeks now - carpet tiles, clear plastic over the wire mesh and huge multi thickness tarpulin, etc.
Just to be on the safe side I am getting a small hutch today that we can have in the house.

I must say that although he survived, he doesnt look impressed
-
he's well insulated then - but a good idea to bring him in if it's going to turn mega cold.
lovely rabbit by the way - my daughter had one just like him years ago.

I, sorry - my daughter, had a dwarf french lop umpteen years ago, he used to own two properties - a hutch in the shed and a pen on the patio!!
In the morning I would undo his hutch and he would run up the path and go into his pen, at night he would run down the path and into his hutch! He was allowed into the house and was fully house trained - in other words we weren't afraid to eat anything with currants in!! ;)

My daughters chewed the ** wiring on her reclining sofa. I bought it for her from Eyers --- not cheap! so wasn't the current buns ::) The grandchildren had the rabbit!
The rabbit's she had when young were allowed out in the garden - with the dog. They were great friends but the dog hated cats so we knew the rabbit was safe with him. As a pup he used to sit in the hutch with the rabbit - and the rabbit began yapping like the dog ;D
-
