Seven Star Natural Gas (Alkane) have launched an appeal against the ruling to not allow drilling down Dark Lane in Calow to extract natural gas. I have the support of Dennis Skinner M.P. who has written to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government (Mr Eric Pickles), in the strongest possible terms.
If you would like to support us you can do by.

or e-mail Mr Dennis Skinner on skinnerd@parliament.uk.
The more the merrier.
We don't want a flame stack
We live on at best, a Victorian Rd
Pollution from diesel engines converting gas to electricity 24/7 for 15 years or more
Furthermore, our house prices in value will diminish dramatically
This is a wholly unsubstantiated industry with no background success or guarantee against failure - so close to houses too. We dont want subsidence or gas seepage in our houses, or damage to the underground water table.
Thanks for looking

I see Lancashire campaigners are celebrating as the fracking has been rejected!

Only just found out about this today. I'm horrified by it all.
Can we get a petition going via change.org or something like that?
If there is already a petition please let me know and I will sign and circulate it.

Not only do we have the proposed Gas extraction - we now have the prospect of the field opposite our front window being converted into 34 dwellings as per NEDDC planning application 15/00154/OL. Double Whammy!
There are other houses to be built somewhere near The White Hart in Calow too. I don't know if the existing facilities, paticularly the school, will cope with this influx.

This isn't sounding good at all scimitar, I'm thinking it will devalue properties as well as taking your view and privacy :(

I can't see the houses being built if the gas extraction goes ahead. They'll not sell - simple as that.
The way the plan looks, one side of the houses will get the full view of the flare stack.
At least our houses are sideways to it so we wont have it directly in front or behind us.
Due to the proximity of the fields, it makes me wonder if the same farmer owns both & is hoping to cash in on one project if the other gets declined.
I'd personally rather have the housing than the Gas extraction.
However, to spite the greedy farmer who is happy to have these things in someone else's back yard, rather than his own (whilst he coins it), I hope they both get declined!!
