Someone has copied a link to an in house ASLEF magazine on one of slackers political Facebook threads.

Couple of interesting articles.
One about Maggie using MI5 to spy on the miners during the strike. My reaction to that one is No S*** Sherlock I'd have been amazed to find out she hadn't!
The other is an interview with the shadow transport secretary.
Two things I find interesting. Firstly he makes it clear that although a public sector company would be allowed to compete for routes there's no chance of re-nationalisation.
Secondly whilst he tries in the article and in the bio to big up his working class routes it's clear he's another labour politician who has never had a real job.

I knew something was going on during the strike the morning we were ambushed at Warsop Colliery.
The police, full met office riot gear cladded were waiting for us.
Either they had been tipped off, or we had been set up for a kicking.

I'm amazed to see cabinet papers saying she was THINKING about bringing the army in against pickets when everyone involved know the army were there disguised as police (hence uniforms with no numbers on)

What it probably was slacker was that she thought the peasants were to thick to realise that the army had been brought it -
What went on back then was bully boy tactics, similar to those we see in other countries today.

Not forgetting she had dictators as friedds sych as Pinochet and the minority South African government
