Been here for lunch with daughter today.
We chose the two for a Tenner meals thinking they would be smaller portions.
Daughter chose the steak burger and chips and I Chicken Tikka.
Neither of us could finish the meals much larger than expected but lovely.

One to bear in mind if we go out (y)

The other half has been to Calow today to see about having her cataracts done.It was one before we got out and we decided to go to The Young Vanish for a carvery.
When we got there the car park was jam packed and there must have been at least 100 people in there(mostly OAP'S).It took a good 10 minutes to get a drink and your ticket for the carvery.
We expected it to be virtually empty as when we have been before the rush was always as soon as they opened.
We enjoyed it anyway.

It's been some years since I last went to the Young Vanish and back then it was packed, it's good to hear that it's still doing well. What was the food like Umpire?

Been past the Three Cottages & Telmere Lodge today in Winsick this lunch time & both car parks were virtually full, so I guess they must both be doing well.

It was OK. A couple of weeks ago we went to the Bowshaw on the Dronfield by-pass which is better than the Young Vanish although a bit more expensive.
We get offers from them from time to time and on this occasion at Dronfield we got two carveries and two treacle sponges for £13 which we thought was good value.

'Each' Umpire ? :)) ;D
Sorry LOL ::)

Gosh it's even longer since I went there, I can't even remember what we had. I do have a friend who goes there quite a lot though and enjoy it.
It's one to remember. (y)
