Title: WW1 - the letters everyone dreaded
Post by: Old Cruser on April 28, 2015, 10:06:45 AM
It seems from documents that Walter left the Railway to fight for his country.
The documents below are the next I have regarding Walter's life.

My grandfather was in the same regiment with his brother Walter and told me that the Trench they were in collapsed burying some soldiers. They had  desperately tried to dig them out with their bare hands --------

So two years on from Walters railway work he was dead.
