The new Mayor and Mayoress on parade.
-
I recognise Burrows, Perkins behind him, and is that Billy Connely about 4 rows further back :))
-
That is Cllr Ludlow's partner Kev.

Pete, I get the impression you know Barry from way back
I knew him 40 years ago when he was drummer for a band called Insted, the other members being classmates of mine in the 6th Form at Chesterfield School, Barry and 2 others plus 2 new members went on to form a rock band called Warrior who brought out an album in 1981. It started changing hands for silly money on Ebay so was re-released recently.

Also on photo are deputy mayor Steve Brunt (turning round) and with the chain, Chair of Staveley Town Council (again) Barry Dyke.
-
So I was right Steve Brunt has been fast tracked to mayorality
-
It goes by service (broken or unbroken) then alphabetical so it's following convention not fast-tracking.
Interestingly, Ray Catt's 41 years between terms must take some beating.
-
Sorry I wasn't suggesting anything was wrong with the idea, just that it had happened.
-
It was the term "fast-tracked" that implied he was given special treatment
