Title: Crooked Spire

What are they doing to the spire?
As I approached it from Derby Road I remarked how I wished I had my camera as it looked as if a shaft of sunlight was on it.
As we got closer it looked as if it had white chalk over it?

Aliens possibly detected a Virgin was getting married there so smothered the spire in chalk so it could straighten up again :)) :)) :))

Seriously though, it was probably a trick of sunlight - there's no scaffolding up the spire is there as far as I know (not last night anyway).
The sun is getting lower in the sky as we proceed towards autumn & winter so probably an optical illusion ;D

Maybe so scimitar.
As I pulled round to the lights to get onto the bypass I could see a little of the other side which was  the normal colour.
Just wondered if there was work going on the church making a lot of dust that's all.
Wish I had had my camera!!
