What a sad picture WCT.
This design of pub seems to have been very popular at one time as was calling in for a bevvie.

Sadly this is all coming to an end and between them the Breweries with their greed and Health Fanatics telling people alcohol with give them Cancer - what chance have they got???

Have you another pub nearby which you can go to WCT?

No pubs near by most have gone also lost quite a few shops too notable Tesco upon City Road. But we do have a new medical centre on East Bank Road and a newish Chinese. With regards to the Arbourthorne Hotel it had a rough past once got burnt down ( gang related ) and the tragic murder when the then landlord put a knife though a young lads heart. I only went in during its last year of trading totally refused to go in again or take my partner their didn't feel safe to be honest.

No idea where it is WCT - but a good picture.

At first before I had fully scrolled it to full picture it looked like the top of a Champagne bottle and someone who had drunk half it had taken the picture  ;D

Fly - before you say owt  :P

The hospital one looks quiet eery WCT.
The pubs - if they were as rough inside as outside I reckon they wanted closing down - but what happens to all these empty pub buildings?

As for the Graffiti there are some very talented people out there with good imaginations  :)

Its not just pubs that are left for years on end their was a shop on Infirmary Road , Hillsborough that's was left roofless for years in the end it fell down onto the road . Their are loads of places around the city but just lately some are been cleared away.

I'm not that brave WCT but am a 'believer' to a certain extent -

As you live nearer perhaps you could do the honors  ;)

The pub sign is now on EBay starting price of hundred pounds comes complete with lights and metal frame but weighs a ton . If sold the money will go to local charities around the Manor Top so anyone wanting something different for their garden here's your chance!
