Title: PayPal
Post by: Old Cruser on January 12, 2016, 08:50:53 PM
Anyone else use PayPal and have had an email advising that some changes are being made?

I don't understand all the jargon.

Is it still safe to use?

Be careful. I never respond to PayPal emails.

I received one. Mine was just a standard email regarding some changes to the terms and conditions to the use of the service.
It asked people to 'click here' to read the T&Cs. Nothing untoward  (y)

I also received one from the 'NatWest', very professional and legitimate looking.
It asked me to 'download the attached file', that was already downloaded and attached to the email.
Not, 'NatWest' style. It got reported to the bank, then deleted LOL  (y)

This is the front page of it

Our Legal Agreements are changing.
We’re making some changes to our Legal Agreements; the documents that govern our relationship with you, so that we can continue to make PayPal even more secure, quick and easy to use. We’ve put details of the changes on our Policy Update page – you can also find the page at www paypal.co.uk, by clicking ‘Legal’ at the bottom of the page and then selecting ‘Policy Updates’.

What do I have to do?

Take a look at our Policy Update page to check you’re happy with the changes. If you are, you don’t need to do anything as these changes will automatically apply to you. If you don’t want to accept the changes you can follow the steps we’ve set out on our Policy Update page.

t’s faster

You don’t have to type in your card details each time you pay, so you can check out faster online.

It’s easier

PayPal is the preferred web payment method in the UK because it’s a smarter, savvier way to pay online in just a few clicks. All you need is your email address and a password.
