Title: Dripping and toast
Post by: who can tell on March 12, 2016, 10:19:40 PM
When growing up I was given dripping and toast and told it would do me good. How did dripping become popular why does it do my stomach so good ?

It was a cheap food being just fat drained from meat - but yummy all the same.
We had it as well - with salt sprinkled on - all very bad for us by today's standards.

If you believe it that is.

Fat is bad for us full stop! So they tell us !

However my great grandfather used to love eating chunks of Lamb fat - make me feel sick at the thought to be honest but he lived to be a good old age so  :P to those who tell us what we can and can't eat/drink!
