Not going into detail but please, keep your doors locked at home.
I never thought someone would just walk into our home at a quarter to seven of an evening, but last night someone did.
Not sure if he thought older people lived here and he had the chance for a quick robbery ??
This happened in Bolsover, not Chesterfield, but hey !!
It's made us think safety first now . . . . . . .

Must have shaken you both Fly - it would have us.
I always keep my doors locked - apart from that is in the daytime when if it's a decent day - or we are using the dryer in the porch we leave the back door open which leads onto the back garden, always lock the door leading from porch into kitchen though.
It stems back from my working days when I looked after 'possible runners' who needed to be kept safe!!
We have had a spate of break ins in our village, I think another member highlighted this, also people from other villages reporting the same thing.
Bit a a bugger when we don't feel safe enough to leave our doors open though isn't it!

Not something you want on a regular basis . As you know me and my family lived on a inner city estate noted for crime and high drug use. We had our door tried quite a few times so always we kept it locked just recently on another Sheffield estate theirs been a drive by shooting each week that goes by its getting worse. I'm glad no one was hurt though.
