Liverpool is the place to buy your dream home as Liverpool Council are off loading streets full of derelict housing. This came about due to the failed ' Pathfinder ' project set up by the previous Labour government where the council brought up streets of housing for redevelopment the idea was to replace the old terraced housing with modern builds . Things didn't go to plan as it was soon realised it would cost millions to replace the old housing stock then the crash happened in 2008 the project was scrapped for good. This left areas in Liverpool like Toxteth looking like wastelands with tinned up doorways and windows with the odd remaining resident sticking it out . So Liverpool Council started to sell the houses for a pound the catch been you must have the money to do the repairs as many of the houses are just shells and basically need rebuilding . The Council have been undated for the chance to buy this bargain housing it's not just a Liverpool thing other victims of Pathfinder haunt a few other towns and cities. Anyone up for the pound house challenge?

I'm surprised they haven't been snapped up already.
The property people are generally up for making a few quick pounds. ????

Thought the same but I think cost plays are big part. Many of these houses have been left for many years so many will need a fair amount spent on them .

There is the beautiful house in Wales set in amazing scenery.
For ONE pound a year rent it could be yours - as long as you look after the Sheep as they come with it!
