You beat me to it scimitar ;)
I've had my thinking cap on in case I needed to be that way - have to go to Fords Friday day time.
-
Avoid Bolsover on Sunday morning. Main road through might be alright.

Cheers fly.
I rarely go there these days although I was there last Friday at a fund raising day - bloody freezing up there.
It's half way to God it's so high up. ::)
-
To clarify the Chatsworth rd one is overnight from 8pm to 6am so for most stuff during the day it's open and in use....In fact I've just been up and down this morning and bar the temporary surface it's fine. It's only later on you would be affected.
-
Also boys & girls Cancer Research UK are holding a "Race for Life" event on Sunday 22nd so several town centre routes will be effected up to 13.00 hrs. Diversions will be in place.
I don't suppose it will effect many bus users but the details are available on www.stagecoachbus.com/regional-service-updates/yorkshire/chesterfield

DERBY RD : Workmen were putting signs up (24th May) ; Tar spraying in operation & 10 mph limit signs between Langer lane & Tupton four lane ends.
Just thought I ought to share this delightful news. Not sure when it starts or what time of day!
I'm sure the "Onliners *" will enlighten us in due course.
*You know who you are MD

mm Well I'm one and due to go that way this morning. I did see the signs yesterday but didn't see 'when' it started. On a bit of a tight time scale this morning so may take the 'scenic route ' just in case
-
Those pesky signs are placed around our village now, and the road sweeper's been through today so I'm guessing it won't be long before we have queues.
When I was young I remember the mums taking their children who have bad chests to walk at the back of the tarmac gang - it was supposed to 'do them good' -
-
So they've tarmacked great patches and lengths of Derby Rd recently, now they're gonna cover it all with chippings :-? ::)
-
That's because you have to fill the holes before you can tar spray.
-
The work has started.
Just like ants along Derby Road.
I will be using the scenic route later to get to Newbold.
I reckon scimitar flashed me this morning he was heading Derby Road way.
Hope delays were not too long for you and your passengers scimitar

I did 6 o'clock 'till about half ten and they were there on my first run from town. Luckily all three runs I managed to keep on time give or take a minute or two. They seem to be managing it well these guys with the "Stop & Go" lollipops - so far anyway.
Yes - I did see you OC at last minute albeit. Then I saw an almost identical car to yours this afternoon in Pilsley (same colour and year) and waved at a total stranger :D :D
